reservations are necessary but not in a manner that is least expected as is in the present case.the proposal put forth by the government gives more emphasis to the fact that now the open category students are becoming more and more "not eligible "for admissions. then arises the fact that admission to a medical or engineering college will be a rich man's cup of coffee.why should the upoming generation suffer for the faults of the older ones.this is beyond doubt an injustice in every respect.the IITs in mumbai find it a shame to come on the strrets and protest as it hinders their dignity??!!..ohh ...what a shame...when their fellowstudents are being dealth with lathicharge for a cause that affects the entire nation. there should be a nationwide protest against this proposal of the HRD ministry.the ministry is silent for now thinking that after some time the matter will cool off.that should not be the case.being a democratic nation we have the right to question and we ask for justice . not only docrtors but also parents , engineering students, all should come out and forward their support. youth has awaken and they fear just that!!
